saturday adventures

it was a beautiful warm day saturday in san francisco. unusual for november. for belated birthday celebrations, i met my friend kc for brunch (yumyum) at zazie in cole valley. this was our first time at this restaurant and we understood why there were gobs of people waiting outside. the food was delish. gotta go there again - soon!
then we moseyed over to the de young museum. we had never been there "officially" either. i was amazed at the amount of art packed in all the spacious rooms. and they ranged from modern art to south american artifacts. there was way too much stuff to go through in a mere few hours.
enjoying the modern art
enjoying the spectacular view from the observation deck
james lick school sponsored a day of the dead activity where you make a little table/altar to honor your dead. kc and i made a cute table together although we thought it a bit morbid. some of the students from the school as performed traditional dances - very cute!

i was enjoying all the acute angles of the building. especially in the observation deck where the glass windows made the corners. thanks for hanging out with me, kc!
in the evening, fdq and i met up with my amazing architect couple and their cute baby girl for dinner at neecha thai. the food was good - a little overcooked but the sauces yummy. the service was lacking but we had a great time overall.
