sunday was sunny and clear but still cold for us wimps. we had brunch with fdq's friends who have transplanted to seattle. before heading to the airport, we stopped at the Hiram M. Chittenden locks and fish ladder. we saw a couple of small boats and a big boat go through the locks. unfortch, it's off-season for fish. we only saw one brave soul making his way through the cold, cruel currents.
