silence prevails

for the second time in my life i lost my voice. it's strange not being able to talk. i thought about going to the drive-thru at jack-in-the-box to get some breakfast but realized that they wouldn't be able to hear me. it was interesting to see how other people needed some sort of audible response - we're not used to talking to thin air.

after a few hours at work, i gave up and came home.

entry #2 - as the blog continues

so i checked out my bros' blogs. i'm impressed. i linked to them (see sidebar). i don't know much about blogs. i just read in newsweek that the police have used myspace.com to arrest teens who have blogged about - even posted pictures (!) of their criminal activities! it's amazing how stupid some people are.

house stuff - painted some of the walls on my living/dining floor. love it. my super creative friend liz helped me pick out the colors and paint. she's my personal interior designer. yes, i'm an architect but i suck at design. fred was great at the painting too - he was hesitant and thought the taping was too difficult but he seemed to actually enjoy the painting part. we're going to try to paint the main bathroom this weekend. maybe i'll try to post some pictures ...

wedding stuff - waiting to hear back from our planner about the caterer's bid. waiting to hear from fred's cousin about the invitations. just waiting.

entry #1 - the beginning

what do people put in their first blog? i just got into this blogging stuff because my brother warren started one himself and then one for our big bro and i was feeling left out. also, i've been knotting away my knot bio with wedding planning stuff. wedding planning is crazy expensive and can bring out the worst in people. yes, i've been obsessed with it ever since fred proposed in oct '05. "let's just elope," i said but no, a wedding shall be had. i actually don't mind because we want it to be a very fun party with us happening to get married. i can talk about wedding stuff forever but you've got your best friend/co-worker/sister who's getting married to tell this stuff.

otherwise, i'm working on furnishing my fancy-schmancy townhouse (www.westendcommons.com). bought it a few months ago. i pretty much have everything, thanks to the fantastic help of my decorating friend liz. i just need to put up some shelving system in the garage and paint some walls some cool colors. i finally got fred (and myself) to clean up/organize some of our mess. we're planning on having a housewarming party on the seis de mayo.
