past easter festivities

here's my bro's and i enjoying easter when we were kids. love this photo because big bro looks suave in his suit, i'm trying to strike a pose and lil bro is typically goofy.
update: i reloaded the pic so hopefully it works this time!

happy easter!

i found this 30-second bunny theatre website when i was googling the movie "the shining." they have several 30-sec parodies of famous movies acted out by bunnies. you can't resist cute bunnies!
happy easter!

who's smarter now?

image from here
our neighbor just got a snappy red smart car. she was so excited about it that she let us look inside. it's suprisingly roomy, affordable at around $11,000, and 40 mpg! it certainly looked like a toy car - she said she was getting double-take looks from passerby's everywhere. there won't be a parking spot in san francisco she couldn't park in now!

another viggo performance

fdq and i watch eastern promises last night. i had no idea what is was about - the only thing i knew was that viggo mortensen was nominated for an academy award. now i see why. the movie was good but viggo was great. right before the famous knife fight scene, fdq commented that he heard about this scene. after watching it, we knew why it was so famous. that alone showed solidified viggo's bad ass character.

i sense that you are washing your car ....

that's so wierd that my sil just posted about a tarot reading. the other day i was at the car wash. this lady and i exchanged glances and then later, as she was driving away in her freshly cleaned suv, she jumped out of her car, running towards me with a business card. she said "i'm a psychic and i see something about you. give me a call." then she jumped back into her suv and sped off. spoooooooooooooky.

puppy meets very large dog

laughing about *wink*wink*youknowwhatimean*
last saturday my friend ck brought her pup spidey over to hang out. fdq's friend ef brought his big dog diego too. spidey and diego were entranced with each other. so much so that diego almost took spidey - yes, almost made spidey a little diego toy. it was way hilarious!
berry checking out spidey from a comfortable distance
berry didn't like spidey's presence though. she's never been around a dog and she probably rather not.
ck's maternal instincts and spidey's sleepiness kicking in
ck captured cr knocking me out in wii boxing below. she feels the pain later - heh heh ! enjoy!

my bro - the foodie

gotta get dessert!
i never knew my lil' bro was such a foodie. he made reservations at tiburon restaurant in salt lake city. what a great deal and so yummy! we also ate at the red iguana which was quite good. i don't know if it warrants the ever-present line out the door but it was a sight to behold in that odd little neighborhood. thanks for the delish food, bro!

snowboard weekend

wl in natural repose
a couple of weekends ago we went to salt lake city to enjoy the beautiful snowboarding. (yeah, i'm a week behind). we snowboarded at solitude which was great for my sis-in-law and i because we're beginners. it was good for fdq, my lil bro and our friend sl too because they had more challenging slopes. it started really snowing after lunch and there was 12" of powder by the next day.
ws and sl calling it a day - finally!
ws and sl mighty wet and tired.
fdq wanting more!
the next day we fought the crowds to brighton. the powder was great - i was not. my entire body was sore but i managed to still squeeze it a relatively full day of snowboarding.
wl and i waiting to start a run
ws kickin' back
we loved how the slopes were mere minutes away from the city, even when there's a traffic jam. we're so used to terrible tahoe conditions that this trip was so relaxing. and salt lake city certainly has fantastic views.
just a slice of life on the drive
