these are pictures of our townhouse after our housewarming party in may '06.





this is the 2nd floor where the dining and living areas are. the artwork is done by my good friend liz. she also helped me paint the walls and choose the decor. inanimate objects speak to her.






this is the 3rd floor - master bedroom, 2nd bedroom and bathroom. lovely liz also helped out on this floor. she's so creative!

housewarming party ... check!

fred and i had our housewarming party this weekend. it was great fun! i was worried that people would think the place wasn't decorated enough because we hadn't painted the whole place yet. also, fred was concerned that we wouldn't have enough food and drinks with:

• 48 bottle of coronas
• 6 bags of chips
• 6 2-liters of sodas
• made margaritas, pineapple tequila, salsa, salsa fresca, guacamole, chile relleno
• asked 2 people to bring desserts - cheesecake and fruit tart

i think we had more than enough.

earlier that day i made a deal with fred - i'll clean the house and he can do the food preparations. i think it turned out well. our friends thought our place looked great and loved all of liz's beautiful paintings. even our cat berry did well with the crowd - people wanted to steal her away. aww - she's such a sweetheart! we had a great time but it went too fast and we didn't get to talk to people very much. fred commented on how busy he was the whole time and he never experienced that - i told him that this is a preview to our wedding. we're really excited to have more parties!

oh yeah, people gave us great gifts! we feel so fortunate.
