while fdq slept sunday morning, my friend ck and i joined some friends for dimsum at
asian pearl. the food was good but i don't know if it was because we were starving after the long wait. nonetheless, we stuffed ourselves. ec's daughter was gracious enough to pick up the tab.

zuni cafebefore watching the
nutcracker, fdq and i grabbed a bite to eat at the
zuni cafe. we dashed off to the war memorial to catch the nutcracker ballet. fdq had never seen the nutcracker so it was a nice first experience. there were lots of cute kids in the audience, many of them spinning like ballerinas at intermission.

now that we've seen the original nutcracker, next year we'll see the
hard nut performance suggested by our cultured neighbors. looking forward to 2008!
